Contactless Deliveries

For the safety and well-being for our drivers as well as our clients we are performing contactless deliveries. We will no longer ask for a signature on our devices at the time of delivery. We will ask for the full name of the recipient and log that information ourselves on our phones. We are prepared to perform "no contact" deliveries. We will follow your directions on where to leave items (on a porch or at a side door) and we can even call the client to confirm its location. We can also take a picture of the item as it is left in a specified area and this image will be shown on our secure online portal in your client record. You will still receive the same POD or point of delivery email stating the time and who signed for your delivery. Your health and safety is our top priority! We want to assure you that Richmond Express is here for you and your company through these uncertain times. Our Response to COVID-19

As the COVID-19 outbreak continues to evolve, Richmond Express is working smart and taking every precaution necessary to minimize disruptions and ensure your deliveries continue to arrive on time. We're meticulously following every hygiene recommendation from local health authorities and instructing our drivers to wash their hands regularly with soap and water and hand sanitizer, keep surfaces in their vehicles clean, cover coughs and sneezes, and, most importantly, to stay home if unwell. Every day, as new information on COVID-19 comes to light, adjustments will be made and new guidelines will be developed. Bob Thompson
8/3/2018
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Thompson. Bob started with Richmond Express in May of 2002 as a driver and eventually rose to the position of Operations Manager from which he retired in 2017. He lost his long battle with leukemia on Aug 1st and is survived by his wife, Theresa, and three daughters. He will be remembered for his calm demeanor during times of stress and his constant professionalism in dealing with difficult situations. We could always count on Bob to have a plan for the unforeseen! God bless you Bob. May you rest in peace, friend. News

It is with great sadness that we are sharing the news that Mike Kee passed away. With over 26 years working for Richmond Express, it is hard to imagine not seeing his smiling face in the office. He will be dearly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends during this difficult time. News

NEW ONLINE PORTAL

In an effort to keep our system user friendly, we are revamping our online portal. On July 17th at 12pm, the online portal will be down for a short period of time. When it comes back up it will have a different look and be even easier to use --- for placing orders and reviewing your account information! Bob Thompson is Retiring

We are regretfully announcing that Bob Thompson is stepping into retirement. He has given this company over 15 years of dedicated work wearing many hats and helping us improve our company every step of the way. After starting a paper route at age 9, working at an animal hospital at age 13, serving four years in the Navy during Vietnam, and working for IBM for 32 years, it's time for Bob to get some rest and relaxation. He plans to spend his time off going fishing at Rudy Inlet for striper and croaker fish as often as possible, in addition to making home improvements and using his brand new grill. Bob would like to encourage everyone still working at Richmond Express to remain flexible in their positions and to do their best to help out in any facet of the business. We wish Bob the best in his endeavors and we hope that this will be a chapter of rejuvenation for him. News

September 9, 2016- We are saddened to inform you that our longtime friend and colleague Mike Jeffries passed away this morning. The second longest courier with Richmond Express, Mike would have celebrated his 23rd year with the company next month. His dedication and commitment to our customers was always a top priority for Mike. We had several customers who asked for him specifically! We will miss him dearly. Private funeral arrangements are being held out of town. Please contact the office if you would like more details. News
 
Update Online Password

We have had an upgrade to our online system and it will require a NEW password to be created for all online clients. The system will prompt you when you sign on to create a new password. The new password format now requires 7 characters including one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number and one special character. New Warehousing Service

Our Richmond facility has space available to store items that you need to save but do not have the space in your busy office. We currently are storing documents, furniture, medical supplies, and pallets of inventory for our current customers. Our secure inventory tracking protocol ensures that your valuables will be safe guarded at all times. Best of all, we can pick up those items for you; deliver them to our warehouse for storing and deliver them back to your location when you need them. News
